Walnut Grove Rotary Club Centennial Project

                              Charles “Chuck” Tison Memorial Park

 The Rotary Club of Walnut Grove is very pleased to announce the construction of the Charles “Chuck” Tison Memorial Park as part of the Rotary International’s 100^th anniversary celebration.  The park, located near the access road of the Delta Cross Channel, is dedicated to the memory of fellow Rotarian and Lifetime Service Award recipient Chuck Tison for his over 35 years of commitment to the local communities of the Delta as both a resident and local businessman.  The park is designed as an area of reflection, which will provide local residents and visitors with historical information of the surrounding communities and landmarks all within the majestic setting of the Delta. 

  The park will feature a small landscaped area with resting benches as well as a four-sided Kiosk sign featuring each of the following.

·         Community of Walnut Grove featuring history and points of interest

·         Community of Locke featuring history and points of interest

·         Local points of interest including the four Delta transmission towers and Delta Cross Channel

·         Biography of Charles “Chuck” Tison
